For a tutorial last week I prepared these sheets, they aim to show how my thesis question is developing in accordance with the Bursledon Brickworks design. The first sheet starts by defining the notion of Disassociation and how it has been applied to the Brickworks as a first response to the site.
The second sheet is a summary of Sverre Fehn's approach to Intervention and how this may be applied to the works.
The last sheet is a summary of Carlo Scarpa's methods of Intervention and how the tectonic qualities of the kilns at the Brickworks would be suitable for an intervention of this type.
